I've never been in this part of town before but a jazz concert at a nearby jazz lounge (shoutout to The Jazz Lounge) brought my husband and I here. We needed a bite after the concert and found this place in a strip mall. This is next to a mexican club, but luckily we got there before the club closed and avoided traffic. But I can imagine this place gets packed after the party! I ordered a surf n' turf burrito to treat myself...and wow, I'm so glad I did! This was the best burrito I've ever had...EVER. I usually don't finish my burritos, but I inhaled this one. We also chatted with the new owner of this place who is an awesome young man passionate about his food and his customers. If we ever end up in the hood again, we'll definitely eat here!

BEST QUESABIRRIA EVER. My girlfriend ordered the breakfast burrito one morning and it was good, but I noticed it was around the corner from my apartment, so I've been going often. Each time it gets better. BUT, the birria has been so freaking tasty, consomé is wow, tortillas are fresh but the cheese isn't short at all. Many other places skimp the cheese. Here it's so good. I come back at least once a week

This place came under New Management a little while ago and since New Management has came in the salsa has improved the customer service was already nothing but stellar but seems to be even better, and the food here has gotten even more tastier. Seems like the two that run the place seem to put a little bit more time into making the food versus the previous owners. Definitely beats sombreros and definitely beats the place across the street from sombreros is 24 hours not even worth mentioning its name. But this is definitely the best taco shop in the area for now.

Friendly & helpful staff, salsa bar is top tier, and the macacha is done the proper way with crispy meat. Tons of flavor. Fresh grilled tortilla & chips.

Great atmosphere, the owner is very nice and carries a great energy with the customers. The food is great and everything is fresh and flavorful. One of the best Mexican restaurants in San Diego. Highly recommend

Had their carne hard shell salad today and it was delicious! Super fresh! Can't wait to try other dishes on the menu! Good food and service is hard to come these days.
